Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) conducts counseling for 15% All India Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges across India. This also includes deemed universities, central universities, ESIC, and AFMC.

🎯 NEET 2026 Seat Allotment Process

Round 1 Seat Allotment

  • Seats allotted based on merit & preferences
  • If satisfied, report to allotted college
  • If not satisfied, can upgrade in Round 2
  • No penalty for not reporting

Round 2 Seat Allotment

  • Upgradation for candidates who didn't get seat in Round 1
  • Fresh choices can be added/modified
  • If upgraded, previous seat is automatically cancelled
  • Must report to new allotted college

Mop-Up Round

  • For vacant seats after Round 2
  • Fresh registration for eligible candidates
  • No fresh registration for those already with seat (unless surrendered)
  • Final round for seat allocation

Stray Vacancy Round

  • For remaining vacant seats after mop-up
  • Direct college-level counseling
  • Last opportunity for admission
  • No upgradation after this round

  • Register on the official counseling portal only - beware of fake websites
  • Lock your choices before the deadline - no changes allowed after locking
  • Carry all original documents for verification at reporting center
  • Check the seat allotment result on the official website only
  • Do not pay any amount outside the official portal
  • Keep multiple copies of all documents ready before counseling begins
  • Report to allotted college within the specified time frame
  • If you don't report on time, your seat will be cancelled
  • For state quota, ensure you have valid domicile certificate
  • For NRI quota, ensure you have NRI sponsorship certificate
